"Candles are a very romantic element," says interior designer Emilie Munroe. "To reinvent the cliché is to locate them unexpectedly.We have made great use of candlesticks in bedroom areas where wall lights are not hardwired.For example, on both sides of a mirror.Candle light is soft and romantic, and when it is off flickering the walls (compared to a tabletop) creates an element of the old world.
